Spring has finally arrived and you can already see a hint of it here and there...but it still feels very wintery to be completely honest. Like I have mentioned before, I live close to the beach in Matosinhos, Porto. (Northen Portugal)
And in the spirit of spring and all things flowerey...decided to do some home spruncing and bring some greenery indoors. I already have a collection of cacti and suculents outside on the veranda. It is ever growing. It is my new favorite thing...I collect cacti. It is the only thing that I manage to keep alive, especially so close to the sea and that manages to survive the harsh summer sun.
Indoors, however, I want to keep it minimal and zen like. Just a spot of greenery here and there I find so uplifting, but nothing time consuming and hard to maintain. I found these concrete pots in the Area Store. They come in a variety of diferent shapes and sizes, some plain or textured. But best of all they are extremely inexpensive. The price ranges from 4 to 10 euros, depending on the size. And I am so pleased with the end result that I had to share. I wanted to keep things clean and minimal and in coherence with our style aesthetic.
I like it that they are neutral in colour, making it easy to rearrange and give emphasis to the plant themselves. The plants are the focal point. I guess the bigger test is if I am going to be able to keep the plant themselves alive. (Fingers crossing.) Please let me know what you think.
